Begin Again - Knife Party

Everyone deserves a second chance. A chance to 'Begin Again', do you agree? Even I do. And that’s saying something if you know me, but if you have little ones like I do, it can be more of a third chance, fourth or even fifth kinda thing especially with a young family?

So why is it that we give things just a single chance sometimes. An okay/not bloody okay lottery. A simple black and white test to sense if things are going to work out. I mean how many times have you originally dismissed something only to find out that you love it - the TV show Friends is one of mine I can immediately think of and as for the guy that turned down the Rolling Stones, he must be still rueing the day that he said ‘it’s a ‘No’ from me.

Our society is based on giving people a second chance. But how many times have you given yourself a second chance? Another opportunity to succeed when it's gone wrong? Another opportunity to live life perhaps, to try again, and even win for once.

Well, here’s your opportunity in ‘Second chance September’ - with me. No matter what it is, if you want to try again, then I’ll help you with your quest. Just PM me or Email me and let's do it. We can work together for thirty days to try and succeed in achieving your dream, second, third or fourth time around.

What do you think?

Hold On - Yes

We spend so much of our time living life in ‘Fast Forward’ - endeavouring to achieve the impossible in the shortest possible time-frame - never stopping for breath and not savouring the moment, or the journey.

Sounds familiar - sounds familiar to me! ATM it feels a lot of the time that the simple ‘Play’ mode is too fast. Maybe it’s an age thing but I’m noticing that it’s not so easy to knock out the miles anymore and that it takes longer to recover than it used to. See, I told you it was old age!!!

Sure in my head I’m still eighteen and against the general head of the population I’m considered to be super fit - for my age that is - Garmin reckons I'm 51 and not 61...

No, the realisation during my downtime on the ‘Coleman Vacances’ is to find the ‘Pause’ button and enjoy the world as it whizzes by a bit more. It will be 25 years this year since I set nine Guinness World Records for distances covered on a Treadmill in various timeframes and 25 years next year since my first MDS. Tempus Fugit! It feels like a mere split-second of time yet it encompasses a lifetime of memories, achievements and encounters. And if you’ve been part of my journey you'll know where you fit in.

A journey that will continue with some updated coordinates, a new direction and with a fresh mission statement. It kinda goes...

‘Make the most of every moment you have left and take care and protect those that come with you on your journey as nothing else really matters'.

Face Value - Phil Collins

There’s no doubting that as you get older, you get creakier. Well, that’s my findings as I’m now into my sixties and the toll of over 1000 marathons remind me each morning how much the thousands of miles have punished my body. So, you can call it synchronicity and rather timely that I was contacted by the experts at Forever Living and asked if I’d be willing to take part in a trial using three of their lifestyle products.

As someone that doesn’t take any supplements or medication, they thought I’d be an ideal candidate to see how being on their products for just fifteen days could have an effect.

The four Forever Products...

They presented me with a quadruple combination of Forever Freedom, Forever Marine Collagen, Forever ARGI+ and Forever Move. The method was to mix a sachet of Forever Marine Collagen, a sachet of ARGI+ into 300ml of the Forever Freedom, shaking well and take two of the Forever Move tablets as I knocked back the cocktail. I’ll be honest and it was neither pleasant or unpleasant to drink and I didn’t mind the taste as I was more interested to see if there would see or feel any benefits from the fifteen-day trial.

In the first few days nothing really changed - however after seven days I definitely felt less creaky but more so my running DID feel a lot easier and my energy levels and mood levels felt heightened. And as the trial continued, I continued to feel the benefits. Visually, and the biggest pointer was the reduction of wrinkles in my somewhat wrinkled face from the years of desert running and years of running in the sun. The Marine Collagen as you can see, made a definite difference.

Before and After...

As a control, following the fifteen days of the trial. I stopped taking the products to see if I could feel any reversibility. And I must say that after a week off the products I found myself wanting to load up again on the excess I was supplied as I felt sluggish, and my mood levels had certainly dropped. How scientific I’ve been here, well who knows but I can say there’s been no financial gain in me undertaking the Forever fifteen-day trial but following its success for me, I’m going on to try a four-day detox using their DX4 product which I’ll write about next time.

What I can say is, why not give the Forever fifteen-day trial a go and see if it works for you too? If you would like some details just email me at rory@colemancoaching.co.uk .

Rain - The Cult

Can you believe the weather? Just how long is it going to keep on raining cats and dogs every day? Only a few weeks ago, there we were enjoying a drought. Lamenting that the local park had turned into a dust bowl and that the local Co-Op had become THE place to go post run to cool down by standing in the chilled aisle.

Oh how things have changed...

But then things do don’t they? And change in a moment just like the weather. Now, I know I spend a lot of time time writing about ‘time’ and ‘change’ - but just like the weather, I believe we are right in the middle of a time of transformation - well I know I am anyway.

Just like in a long hot summer, when everything is going just perfect without a cloud in the sky - with things falling into place effortlessly… until for some unknown, Godforsaken moment it rains on your parade.

And if you are a non-rainy kinda person like me - hopefully you are out there summoning the sunshine and trying to create a brighter future. It’s not easy, especially as it was pissing down today in Wales and rained hard on days my day's expectations for sure.

However, I used the time to consider some plans to make my time ahead a whole light brighter so if anything I’m going to benefit from this current cloud and welcome a new silver cloud direction.

Or that’s the hope anyway - is it raining where you are?
